Workshop / Presentation
Spoken Word: The Connectors
Join us in the journey across words and into the jungles of our spirits. Gather with us to be present to our pain and our joy, our stress and our hope, our confusion and our rebellious aliveness! We will write, write, share, listen and grow in a good way as we tap into our ability to express and connect!

Biography
The Peace Poets are a remix of Hip-Hop, Spoken Word and Freedom Fighting. They are 5 artists and childhood friends, rooted in the community and culture of Uptown NYC. In 13 years they have built relationships with frontline communities and have invigorated the social movements of our times with chants, songs and poems used throughout the nation. Their work has supported communities struggling for climate justice, indigenous sovereignty, just immigration, affordable housing, accessible education, real equality for Black Lives, and an end to war, torture and mass incarceration. They live lives that face the crises of our current reality with art and action that heals, connects and reminds us that we can all be the medicine this world needs.
