Galactic Slow Flow - David Michael Scott (music by Skydyed)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Galactic Slow Flow - Come to David’s class with an open mind and a sense of adventure. Rhythmic beats and galactic sounds guide an inwardly focused vinyasa practice in a dark environment where you are encouraged to feel, rather then see, your way through the experience. Please bring something to use as a blindfold.

David Michael Scott, ERYT-500, spent his years living as a wilderness guide, a Peace Corps volunteer, and a math teacher before encountering yoga as a means to integrate life lessons and heal from the traumas of the past. David teaches yoga as a means to help himself and others learn to quiet the mind and live more balanced and satisfying lives. His Power Vinyasa classes combine challenging movements, purposeful breathing, and rocking beats, while David’s Yin Yoga classes bring together yoga asana and soft, still meditation. In one of David’s classes you will laugh, meet your neighbors, and even throw down a dance move (probably not in yin yoga). In addition to teaching yoga in the Denver area, David operates a local wilderness adventure company called Fire Heart Adventures.

Skydyed - Emerging from Fort Collins, Colorado, Skydyed is a three-piece band that blends cutting edge electronic production with live instrumentation. Featuring Andrew Slattery on bass synths and bass guitar, Max Doucette on guitar and keys, and Shane Eagen on drums, the band integrates generations of the state’s extensive musical heritage with their own deep-seated ties to the electronic music scene. With roots in rock, funk and jazz, Skydyed has created their own, diverse sound that intertwines organic live drums, bass and guitar through soulful jam, hard-hitting bass and profound break-beats. With their unique and advanced production, Skydyed has established itself as a can’t miss performance that bridges the gap between EDM and live music. Since their emergence in early 2014, Skydyed has seen their presence ascend exponentially. Already, they have donned the stage at Arise Music Festival, a sold out Bluebird Theatre with RJD2, as well as the legendary Red Rocks Ampitheatre at last years’ Feed The Rocks event. Their entire discography is available for free download on Spotify, Soundcloud, and Bandcamp.
