Creative Contemplative Movement - Activate your center through a creative movement practice with spinal undulations and deep breath work as the central focus. Awaken the entire body and sharpen the mind through rhythmic, flowing movements that will open subtle energy pathways, increase range of motion and build strength on a deep level. By combining movement, breath and attention you will leave the practice feeling enlivened and peaceful.

Growing up with a yoga teacher as her mother, Ashleigh began her exploration of yoga at an early age, dedicated to the pursuit of healing a lifelong spine condition. Now, living a pain free and spiritually empowered life, Ashleigh is dedicated to sharing the healing power of yoga with the world. As the Head of Yoga Content for Gaia.com, Director of Yoga and Movement for The Envision Festival in Costa Rica, and co-founder of The Ālaya Yoga School, Ashleigh Sergeant also spent five years as the Global Yoga Trainer for Adidas and was honored to be the youngest Certified Anusara Yoga Instructor in the world. Ashleigh’s yoga videos are featured on Gaia.com, Grokker and ShriTV. A regular presenter at the Wanderlust Festival, Ashleigh’s work can also be seen on Mind Body Green, YOGANONYMOUS, Latin Women’s Health and German Yoga Journal.  Ashleigh’s life is a true embodiment of the teachings of yoga. Her life, presence and vibrant way of being in this world are shining examples of her dedicated practice. Steeped in a breadth of knowledge and depth of experience, she has the unique gift of being able to guide her students in a clear, effective and inspiring way. Grounded in a solid foundation of the ancient teachings, Ashleigh continues to be on the leading edge of yoga’s evolution. Her revolutionary approach to the practices breathes new life into the tradition, helping her students thrive in today’s ever-changing world.  Ashleigh’s first teachers include Bryan Kest and Baron Baptiste. She received her first 200-HR teaching certification at the Himalayan Institute, strongly influenced by Rod Stryker’s ParaYoga, something she continues to study. Today, Ashleigh brings thousands of hours of experience to her teaching, including the knowledge of therapeutic asana gained from traveling with and assisting John Friend, the founder of Anusara Yoga. Ashleigh’s present passion is the deep exploration of the mystical and energetic side of yoga practices. For this her primary teacher and long time inspiration is the great Sally Kempton.
